One thing you may not know about me is that I love Formula 1! I even remember being a little girl cheering for Ayrton Senna. Ahh good times! :) This weekend was the Monaco Grand Prix, which is my favourite GP of all,  but unfortunately the closest I can get to it is watching on my friend's big HD tv, and that's where I went today.

I tried to incorporate my summer wardrobe into a more relaxed outfit, so I paired a maxi dress from last year's summer with a pair of flip flops and the cutest flip flops necklace! That little detail put me right in the mood for a beach holiday :)

For my makeup, I wanted a pop of colour to match my dress, so I lined my upper lashline with an electric blue liner from Rimmel. If you're a regular reader of my blog or if you follow me on Instagram (@lebeautygirl), you may have noticed a certain trend for bright colour liner recently. I just can't get enough of them!

So what have you been up to this weekend? What do you think of my outfit?

Not a single cloud in the sky. Ah Summer! At last :) I just love sitting outside in the garden and choosing 'the best' daisies for my real Daisy Chain bracelet, some of them even have pink tips. So cute! Now I want to make a crown! LOL

What do you guys think? Did I do a good job? Let's share Daisy Chain tips!

May Glossybox: The Anniversary Box (Review)

May Glossybox: The Anniversary Box

Happy Birthday, Glossybox! I can't believe it's been a year already that beauty boxes started to pop along, making us feel like it's Christmas every month. I still remember my very first Glossybox, and if you fancy a trip down to memory lane, click here to read my 6 month milestone Glossybox review.

This month Glossybox spoilt us with quite a few surprises in the Anniversary box. Are you ready? Let's have a look inside :)

May Glossybox: The Anniversary Box

Noble Isle Summer Rising Bath & Shower Gel - Inspired by the natural and cultural riches of the British Isles, Noble Isle really knows how to put summer in a bottle of shower gel. This smells so summery that I may just save a little for winter, when I need a little reminder of what is summer!

May Glossybox: The Anniversary Box

Lolita Lempicka L'Eau en Blanc & Eau de Parfum - I generally hate getting these little perfume samples in beauty boxes, but when the name written in the bottle is 'Lolita Lempicka', the rules change! I'm absolutely in love with L'Eau en Blanc. It smells so feminine, fresh and chic, and I've already finished my sample. To be honest, I'm a little (a lot!) tempted to buy the full size bottle. If you're as tempted as I am, you can get a free Parisian shopper with any Lolita Lempicka purchase of 50ml or more from House of Fraser (online or in store).

May Glossybox: The Anniversary Box

Neal's Yard Remedies Rehydrating Rose Daily Moisture - It's a well know fact that I don't like rose-scented products. I think it smells of baby poo (sorry!) and anything rose-scented just really puts me off. I don't really have to say much about this product if I tell it has a strong rose smell. Definitely not for me!

Collection Lasting Colour Gel Eyeliner - This was the most exciting product in my box. I got the shade 'teal' and I love it! The gel eyeliner is really smooth to apply and quite easy to work with as it doesn't smudge at all. Trust me, I've got very shaky hands! I used the little brush that came with the liner and it worked really well. Great for a pop of colour, especially with the sun shinning outside :)

May Glossybox: The Anniversary Box

Eldora False Eyelashes - I'm not a false eyelashes kind of gal. I'm just useless at applying them, but I promise I'll give these a try soon!

May Glossybox: The Anniversary Box

Glossybox Mirror - Last but not least, Glossybox included a little surprise in the box. A cute little mirror with the Glossybox logo at the front. Aw, so cute. Thank you, Glossybox!

Overall, I really liked this month's box. The whole beauty box concept is becoming a little bit repetitive and I found myself giving away a lot more than what I kept for myself. But every so often there's a good surprise in the boxes, which is the reason why I'm still subscribed to two of them. I don't know if I'll keep my subscription for another year, but it's been great so far :)

What do you think of the Anniversary Glossybox? What did you get in yours?

Summer Outfit: Keep Cool & Classy

Striped Semi-Sheer Top - New Look
Atmosphere Black Skinny Jeans - Primark
Tan Wedges - Arezzo
Mother of Pearl Shell Ring (Horizontal Oval) -  Ysis Accessories
Two Tone Classic Metallic Necklace - Ysis Accessories

With temperatures of 20+ degrees Celsius in the UK, my challenge is to keep cool and classy at the same time. It's easy to put together a classy outfit when it's cold, because you can rely on scarves and long sleeves. But when it gets warm outside, the appropriate attire (shorts and t-shirt) may not be the classiest of all (hence my less than elegant outfit of yesterday).

I chose a lightweight 3/4 length top which will keep my body temperature just cool enough without being too revealing. I paired it with my faithful black jeans from Primark (best investment ever!), which in hindsight wasn't the best choice because my legs were begging for a skirt by the end of the day, but there you go! On my feet I'm wearing a very old pair of wedges I got in Brazil which I absolutely love.

As for jewellery, I'm wearing some of my favourite pieces from my shop (Ysis Accessories). I love how this gorgeous metallic necklace looks so elegant and dainty. The mother of pearl shell ring matches the top and gives a touch of trendiness to the whole look! If you haven't visited my shop yet, go and have a little look at www.ysisaccessories.com :)

So what are you wearing to keep you cool and classy this Summer?
