Sleek Makeup ‘Monaco’ Palette: Review + Swatches

Hey people!

Another Sleek palette, I know, I’m in a bit of Sleek Makeup mood lately. Since I’m enjoying my ‘Oh So Special’ palette so much, I didn’t even think twice before buying this one, especially because it’s limited edition, so I didn’t want to miss the chance!

The Monaco palette is part of the Mediterranean Collection that was released on the 8th of June and also includes a pout polish and blusher, which I didn’t get because I was getting the ‘NO MORE’ look from my boyfriend and I got a bit shy…

The packaging is the same slim case as the ‘Oh So Special’ palette, but when you open it… what a difference!

Whilst in the ‘Oh So Special’ palette you will find a mix of everyday wearables, in the Monaco palette, you will find a couple of nudes and loads of colourful shades. To be honest, I’m essentially classical when it comes to makeup, meaning that greys, browns, champagne pinks and dark blues are my ‘best friends’, but I’m totally willing to give these gorgeous shades a try, especially because it’s ok to be bold in the summer, right?! :)

I was impressed with all the eye shadows in this palette because, as you can see in the swatch below, what you see is what you get.

The only one that didn’t live up to my expectations was Washed Ashore; I thought this would be more pigmented, but it’s still a pretty colour.

The three colours from this palette that get a big thumbs up from me are: Sunset, a rich reddish/orange glittery colour, Lotus Flower, which is the prettiest metallic lilac and so delicate but still attention grabbing, and finally Humming Bird, a lovely shimmery acqua colour.

If you’re thinking about spicing things up on your makeup look, or if you’re feeling summery and adventurous, I definitely recommend buying this palette as the array of colours is so  vast and unique. You pay £6.49 to get 12 eyeshadows, incredibly pigmented and with very good quality.

However, if you’re looking for a wearable everyday makeup palette, or if you’re only just starting to build your makeup kit, I’d go for the ‘Oh So Special’ palette. You can check out my review of this palette by clicking HERE.
