Superdrug Haul: Barry M and Sleek Makeup

Hey girlies!

Here I am again with another haul. I don’t think I’ve ever walked out of a shop with exactly what I meant to buy; there’s always a lot more in my bag than the item that triggered the visit to shop in the first place. OMG, I’m such a cosmetics junkie!

Now that we’ve cleared up that ‘admitting you have a problem’ business, let’s move on to the good stuff, shall we? :)

First, I went to the ‘Sleek Makeup’ counter and picked up another one of their palettes. I thought I’d buy the Monaco Palette from the Mediterranean Collection for only £6.99 because I loved so much the Oh So Special palette.

I’ll save my views about this palette for a review post, but just as a first impression, I think this is going to be a very interesting palette to play around with! There are some neutral shades, but, predominantly, it’s a palette of gorgeous bright colours. I can’t wait to create great makeup looks with this!

If you haven’t seen my review of the Oh So Special palette, you can read it HERE.

Next, since I’m currently very into the whole NOTD thing, I thought I’d change things around a bit and go for the opposite of what I’ve tried so far, so I bought a bright yellow nail varnish from ‘Barry M’ on the colour Lemon Ice Cream for £2.99.

Normally, when it’s summer, people like to try different and fun things that they wouldn’t buy in other seasons of the year. I predict there will be a ‘yellow fever’ around the Beauty Bloggers and Youtubers!

This other ‘Barry M’ nail varnish is called Crystal Clear and what I liked the most about it, is the fact that it’s a Basecoat, a Topcoat and a Nail Hardener, all in one, for £2.99.

The most exciting thing I got from ‘Barry M’ was one of their Dazzle Dusts that I’ve heard so much about and I’ve always wanted to try out. The one I bought is number 39 and the colour name was ‘Tan’, for £4.59.

This is a lovely deep champagne/pink loose powder with lots of shimmer that can be used on the eyes, lips and cheeks. I’m sure I’ll use this so much on my eyelids to create a simple day-to-day makeup look with a bit of an edge!

Lastly, I picked up a ‘Superdrug BeautyCard’ from the counter. It basically allows you to collect 1 point for every £1 you spend and there are products, such as the Monaco Palette, that give you bonus points!

You can check your points on the bottom of your receipt every time you shop in Superdrug and even pay with a mix of cash and points! I think it’s a great little opportunity to potentially save some money on your future cosmetics shopping.

That’s all, dolls! I hope you guys enjoyed my little haul post.

What do you think should be my next drugstore purchase? Please leave me a comment below :)
