I decided to go for a classic makeup because I don’t want to look back at my graduation photos in 10 years time and think, ‘What the *&ˆ% was I thinking?!’. My biggest tip for graduation makeup is to make sure your makeup is photo-friendly; choose a foundation with no SPF, or if your favourite foundation does have SPF in it, apply a little bit of a lighter bronzer all over your face to cancel the ‘ghost-face’ effect that SPF can cause on flash photography.

Dress: New Look

For my outfit, I though about wearing a ‘little black dress’ because it’s safe and timeless, but I just wouldn’t stand out at all on photos, so I opted for a gold and black lace dress. I paired it with black tights and dark brown shoes that matched my dress.

Overall, I really enjoyed my graduation ceremony, despite the fact that my course was one of the last to be called, so I had a long and nervous wait until my name was called. I’m happy to report that no disasters occurred and now I officially have a Masters in International Relations and European Politics!
