January Feel Unique Beauty Box Review

Feel Unique Beauty Box is a subscription service whereby, for £9.95 a month you get 5 deluxe beauty products, as a ‘try before you buy’ kind of thing, in the comfort of your home with free delivery.

The concept of the January Feel Unique Beauty Box is to concentrate on restoring and bring back the natural glow to the skin after the extravaganza of the festive period. If you ask me, that is a load of rubbish and it could be just an ‘excuse’ to get rid of some products right from the back of the shelf in their warehouse. Now that my disappointment with the contents of this month’s Feel Unique beauty box is made clear, let’s reveal the products.

Lierac Coherence L.IR Infrared Lifting Cream – This face cream promises to give you a visible ‘face lift’ effect. It is inspired by infrared laser techniques and it can be used in the morning and at night. The packaging is definitely the most exciting part about this product (and that says something about the product itself, doesn’t it?). The cream left my skin feeling velvety and smooth, but it is incredibly greasy and it sits on the skin forever until you rub it off. As I have dry skin, I tend to like creams with a deep moisturising formula, but there is a difference between moisturising and greasy, and this cream was just too greasy for my taste.

Dead Sea Spa Magik Salt Brushing – This body exfoliating salt scrub was voted the ‘Best Body Scrub’ by Top Lifestyle Magazine. It contains coconut oil and vitamin E to deeply hydrate the skin, increase circulation and heal tired skin, and it has a citrusy aroma. I’ve already tried the Dead Sea Spa Magik Body Lotion (here) and was pleased with it, so I’m looking forward to trying this scrub!

Caudalie Vinotherapie Nourishing Body Lotion – This anti-oxidant nourishing body lotion contains plant-derived ingredients to help tone and prevent stretch marks. I was immediately drawn to the delicious smell and feel it left on my skin, but apart from that, I haven’t noticed any of the fancy properties of this lotion.

Phyto PhytoBaume Color Protect Express Conditioner – This conditioner promises to leave colour-treated or highlighted hair feeling silky, smooth and vibrant. I don’t colour or highlight my hair, so I’ll probably give this to someone who can get some use out of it.

Green People Gentle Cleanse – This is an organic makeup remover and cleanser for all skin types containing Aloe Vera, chamomile and marshmallow. I couldn’t hide my disappointment when I saw a ‘Green People’ product in my Feel Unique box. The last time I tried a ‘Green People’ product, the super strong herbal smell made me feel sick, and the same happened with this makeup remover. Even if this was the most amazing makeup remover/cleanser of all time I would not use it, as the smell is too off-putting.

(BONUS) Lierac Comfort Peel Wrinkle Smoother – As a little bonus, Feel Unique threw in a little sample of the Lierac wrinkle smoother cream, a renewing cream with ‘new skin’ effect. I have no idea what they mean by ‘new skin’, but I’ll give this a try just because I think it was a nice gesture to give us a little extra sample in the box!

Overall, I’m quite disappointed with this month’s Feel Unique Beauty Box. Most of the products did not appeal to me at all and there wasn’t a single makeup product, which is bit confusing since this is supposed to be a ‘beauty box’.

I’ve never really liked the Feel Unique box because their stuff has always disappointed me. If not, then it’s okay but not too great unlike the GlossyBox. The product I do like from this months box is the Dead Sea Spa Magik Salt Brushing.

Yeah, I’m not sure about any of the boxes, to be honest. I’ve had great ones and rubbish ones from Boudoir Prive/Joliebox, Feelunique and Glossybox. That’s probably why I still subscribe to all 3 of them… I still believe one of them will be the clear winner! lol xx

It was my first box but I have loved it so far. I got a different Lierace Moisturiser the Anti Age one and its sooo nice sinks in nicely to the skin and I love the scent! The Salt scrubs are nice I have used one so far and my skin feels really smooth after.
I got a different cleanser aswell from This Works which I used as a second cleanser once I have taken my makeup off, leaving my skins feeling really clean. the conditioner is a perfect travel size and makes my hair really colourful. The only thing I didnt like was the body lotion because I dont tend to use them so gave that to my mum. I also got a different sample Lierac gel cream which I am seriously considering purchasing alongside the This Works Face Cleanser.
I cant wait for next month!
