MAC Lipstick in Politely Pink, £13.50 | MACDebenhams

This MAC Lipstick in ‘Politely Pink’ is the latest addition to my MAC collection. I read some reviews online before buying it and I was told it was very flattering on people with quite pigmented lips, so I thought I’d give it a try. It’s described by MAC as dirty pink colour and on MAC’s website colour chart, Politely Pink is situated in between ‘Please Me’ and ‘Snob’, both of which I already own. So if you want to compare ‘Politely Pink’ and its two neighbouring shades, click here to see my swatches of ‘Please Me’ and here for ‘Snob’.

Politely Pink has a lustre finish and texture-wise it’s not very flattering on dry and chapped lips. I think I may have to wait until my lips are in better condition to be able to pull it off. Saying that, I love the shine on it; it catches the light just enough to add a glow to your face but it’s still quite demure and subdued, so you can wear it with a fierce eye makeup look without them clashing :)

What do you think of MAC Politely Pink? Have you ever tried it? What’s your favourite MAC Lipstick?

MAC Lipstick in Politely Pink is available now from MAC and Debenhams, priced at £13.50. Debenhams is currently offering 10% off on all winners and highly recommended products of the Beauty Club Awards until 13 May 2012, which includes MAC Lipsticks.

Au revoir!

Love this colour I just picked up Creme Cup which is another pinky/nude colour, perfect for me as I tend to steer away from brighter shades during the day savouring them for evenings and special occasions which is a rare occurrence these days :-)

This looks gorgeous, especially on you! I’m not sure though that it’d be very flattering on my sadly because it’s a lovely colour. I’ve tried lipsticks of similar tone and they just emphasise any flaws on the lips! x

Ohh I may have to check out Creme Cup next time I’m in MAC. I know the feeling, I haven’t been out in ages! I just keep putting on makeup and getting ready just use up all the stuff I can’t seem to stop buying. Sad isn’t it? LOL xx

So pretty & so glad I found your blog…it can be hard(er) to find reviews & swatches of makeup done by people with darker skin colors! Did you do anything before putting this lipstick on (like liner or a “base” lipstick)? It looks so much prettier on you than it did on me when I tried it haha!
