I was browsing on Pinterest (follow me pinterest.com/lebeautygirl) the other day and I saw a gorgeous eye makeup (link here) that inspired me to create this Black and Gold Double Eye Liner look. It’s ridiculously simple, but it requires some precision and a sturdy hand, both of which I have none.

Start by prepping your lids so the eyeliner won’t smudge or smear. Then choose your favourite liquid or gel black eyeliner and draw a thin line very close to your lash line, flicking it out at the end. Try and keep the flick as neat as possible. Finally, with a gold liquid or gel eyeliner draw a line directly above the black line, following the same angle and winging it out at the end. If you used a liquid liner like I did, wait for it to dry before you open your eyes fully, otherwise it will smudge.

Makeup: Black and Gold Double Liner

This look should only take 5 minutes for an averagely skilled person, but it took me nearly half an hour as I just couldn’t quite get that perfect flick with the eyeliner. I normally prefer gel liners, but because I wanted to create sharp edges I opted for a black liquid liner, which probably wasn’t too wise as it smudged quite a lot before it dried completely. Word of advice: be extra careful!

So what do you think of the Black and Gold Double Liner look? What other colours can I play with to create variations of the ‘double liner’ look?

Au revoir!
