BlanX Advanced Whitening Toothpaste (Before & After)

Blanx Advanced Whitening Mouthwash*, £5.49 and BlanX Advanced Whitening Toothpaste*,  £7.99 || Boots

In recent years, we’ve become more and more obsessed with wither, brighter teeth. However, the quest for that pearly white celebrity smile can come with a hefty price tag and be potentially very harmful to your teeth. I’m no exception when it comes to wanting a whiter smile, but I’m not prepared to spend big bucks and/or damage my teeth to get it. I’ve tried pretty much every single high street toothpaste that claims to whiten and brighten my smile, without much luck. Today, I’ll show you the one toothpaste that has actually made a real difference to how white my teeth look!

BlanX Advanced Whitening Toothpaste (Before & After)

It’s the BlanX Advanced Whitening Toothpaste, a non-abrasive whitening toothpaste that uses natural arctic lichen to attack harmful bacteria which cause plaque and whiten stained teeth. BlanX claims to work differently from other whitening toothpastes, being the only daily cosmetic whitening toothpaste to use lichen in their formula.

I’m not entirely sure what lichen is and what it does, but it’s certainly gentle on my teeth. I have very sensitive teeth, so if this toothpaste was even a little bit harmful to the teeth I would have felt it, but I didn’t experience any discomfort or sensitiveness. Thumbs up!

I don’t have particularly yellow teeth, but since moving to Britain a couple of years ago I’ve become addicted to drinking tea, which has visibly stained my teeth. So I used the BlanX Advanced Whitening Toothpaste and the BlanX Advanced Whitening Mouthwash everyday, twice a day for 2 weeks. This is my progress so far:

BlanX Advanced Whitening Toothpaste (Before & After)

WOW! I literally could not believe my eyes when I looked at the before photo. I did notice my teeth looked whiter, but I had no idea how much whiter until I saw the photo I took before starting the treatment. It might not look that dramatic, but like I said before, my teeth weren’t that bad to start with, and this is not an express treatment, so with time my teeth will look even whiter!

On the side of the BlanX Toothpaste box you will find a ‘BlanXometer’ which you can detach and measure the whiteness of your teeth. I didn’t find this as useful as I expected because I couldn’t really tell the difference between the levels of whiteness when compared to my teeth, so I much preferred to take photographs and compare them.

BlanX Advanced Whitening Toothpaste (Before & After)

The BlanX Advanced Whitening Mouthwash is lovely as well; very refreshing and it doesn’t contain alcohol. BlanX claims that the use of the mouthwash along with the whitening toothpaste helps speed up the whitening process and removes pockets of bacteria that can cause bad breath.

To me this is an all-round winner! Granted, this won’t give me that celebrity smile in 48-hours, but neither will it harm or damage my teeth, and that’s fine by me. It’s not pricey either, with the Whitening Toothpaste retailing at just under £8 and the Whitening Mouthwash at just over £5.

I’m not that of a fan of Britney Spears but I must admit her smile is pretty impressive!

I’m very intrigued to try the BlanX products because as like you, I’ve got super sensitive teeth and find it quite painful to use the ‘usual’ teeth whitening products. Thanks :)

Great Giveaway! I need this badly due to a coffee addiction haha
Following you via bloglovin and following BlanX on twitter. Username: @stephiemcd
The best smile hands down goes to Miss Cheryl Cole. Although im sure she had alot of help by a pricey cosmetic dentist I would still do anything for pearly whites like that!

I think the celebrity with the best set of blinging gnashers and smile is Joey Essex – his teeth are just a fabulous white that I one day would like to somehow have myself (the colour, not his teeth, of course :P). I have to admit I am bit ‘well jel’ :P lol

I haven’t tried BlanX but I really like Stella
white strips. The result is great and you only have to apply it for half an
hour instead of putting something on the whole night :)
