Elf Flawless Eyeshadow Palette (Review & Swatches)
Elf Flawless Eyeshadow in ‘Party Purple’*, £2.50 | Elf website
Elf is definitely one of my favourite budget brands; you can find real gems in their collection. Even products that lack a bit here and there in quality are worth buying because everything is literally cheap as chips! The time when I turn to Elf the most, is when I want to try bold eyeshadow colours but don’t fancy investing in an expensive brand until I’m sure the colours suit me. So today I have a very ‘out of my comfort zone’ eyeshadow quad to show you guys :)
This is the Elf Flawless Eyeshadow Quad in ‘Party Purple’. As the name suggests, the colours follow the purple spectrum and vary from soft lilac, pink purple, violet purple and aubergine. The eyeshadows come with the names of where the colour would normally be applied, which is very handy for people who are new to makeup, or that just get too confused with all the different shades.
As with most Elf products, the packaging is definitely not one of its best features; it’s a white plastic shell with a see through square at the front. I guess they need to budget somewhere to be able to maintain its cheap price tag!
The colours are very nice and, when swatched, they stay true to what you see on the packaging. They are a bit chalky, as you can see on the photos, and as a result of that the staying power is quite poor. However, I’ve been told that when applied wet, these eyeshadows give you a much better colour payoff. I must try that soon :)
Overall, I think this little quad is worth the £2.50 price tag. Even though they are a bit chalky and I probably wouldn’t expect it to last all day, they are great to venture into the world of colour with your makeup, experiment and create new looks. When you’re happy you’ve found new colours you like, you can then spend a bit more on higher quality eyeshadows.
What do you think of the Elf Flawless Eyeshadow Quad in ‘Party Purple’? Have you tried any other eyeshadow quads from Elf? Let me know :)

yes you are right e.l.f products are pocket friendly… When I saw this my first impression was it will be chalky and yes it is. but wet brush techniques work very well for such eye-shadows . thanks for sharing

I think it’s great that they are thinking about the people who don’t necessarily know what to do with the colours in an eyeshadow palette. Lovely touch :) x
