Headmasters Salon Experts Big Glam Hair Collection*, from £2.99 to £5.99 – Tesco || Headmasters

About a month ago I blogged about the launch of the new Headmasters Salon Experts Big Glam Hair Collection (HERE) and I promised an update telling you what I think about it with more in depth details. Now that I’ve been using it for a month, I’m in a much better position to tell you my thoughts on this line! I won’t go into much detail about the collection again, but feel free to refer back to my previous post (HERE) for more photos and information about Big Glam Hair.

Starting off with the smell, this entire collection has a delicious sweet smell; not sickly, more like a fresh sweet smell which reminds me of how my hair smells after I’ve been to a salon. Yum! If you’re not into sweet scented hair products, you may not be a fan of the smell, but if you’re a fan of the Aussie smell, the Big Glam Hair collection will appeal to your taste.

The Big Glam Hair Shampoo made my hair feel really soft and clean; I have quite long and thick hair, so it takes literally a handful of the shampoo to cover my entire hair. Although my hair feels really clean after using this shampoo (I generally shampoo twice), I felt like I used a lot of product per wash to achieve the desired result.

After shampooing, I move on to conditioner and the Big Glam Hair conditioner did a really good job at smoothing my locks. I can’t say it does as good of a job at detangling my hair as the Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Conditioner does, but it does leave my hair feeling pretty soft.

Next, I apply the XXL Volumising Cream, which is my least favourite product of the collection. It just doesn’t seem to do much for my hair; it doesn’t help me detangle my hair, it doesn’t inject and keep the moisture on my locks, which results in my hair looking quite dull after it’s completely dry.

Overall, I really like this collection as a whole. Despite being disappointed by the Cream, the Shampoo and the Conditioner are great and I’m almost finished with them! The one observation I have to make is that, even though the line is called ‘Big Glam Hair’, I didn’t notice any extra volume on my hair; it didn’t weigh my hair down or anything, but it also didn’t puff it up. I admit, I’m not a fan of massive crazy hair in any case, so it didn’t really make a difference to me. But if you’re looking for something really volumising, I’m not sure this will give you the big hair you desire.

I hope this was helpful! Do let me know if you have any more questions about the Headmasters Salon Experts Big Glam Hair Collection. Have you tried this line or any other Headmaster products? Which one(s) do you recommend?
