Lush FUN (Review & Photos)

Lush FUN, £5 each from 27 September 2012 (Review and Photos)

Lush FUN*, £5 each – Lush

I love Lush… what’s not to love about a brand that makes everything smell good enough to eat? I wish I lived near a Lush store so I could go and spend my entire month’s salary on Lush’s products; actually, that might not be such a good idea for my bank account! Anyway, today I have a fun new product to share with you guys… literally!

It’s the brand new Lush FUN, a multipurpose product that can be used to wash your body, hands, hair, clothes and even to create a delicious bubble bath. FUN is handmade with fresh ingredients and preservative free; you have approximately 15 months from the date it was made to fully use your FUN bar, but you don’t have to use it all at once. Each FUN bar comes wrapped in a biodegradable cellophane wrapper, so after you’ve finished using your FUN, make sure to store what’s left back in its cellophane.

I have two FUN bars, one pink and one yellow. The yellow one has a delicious vanilla scent which Lush claims to ‘evoke thoughts of seaside ice creams, granny’s baking and home comforts’, and the pink one has a yummy sweet bubblegum and strawberry smell, which according to Lush, brings back ‘candy smells of childhood’. Honestly, they are both right up my street; I simply cannot decide which one I like the most because my two all-time favourite bath-time smells are vanilla and bubblegum!

FUN is really enjoyable to use and it definitely brings out the child within me :) The visual similarities between FUN and play-doh are undeniable, although play-doh is a bit less crumbly than FUN. On the other hand, FUN smells good and it can be used for lots of different showering purposes. I tried to make something really intricate and creative, but the only thing I could come up with was this very uninspiring doughnut/onion ring shape thing. Seriously, Ysis?!

Anyway, putting my shape-making skills aside, FUN is also committed to a very good cause. During the first year, 10p from each FUN bar sold will go into a FUNd to help children living in the areas affected by the 2011 Japan earthquake, tsunami and nuclear disaster. I’m sucker for a good cause and I think Lush deserves a big round of applause for doing that :)

So, what do you think about FUN? Have you ever tried anything similar? Do you have many Lush products? What other Lush must-haves would you say I cannot live without? I’d love to know :)
