Last week I attended a lovely event at The Hempel Hotel in London hosted by Next. Whilst having a look at the new Autumn/Winter 2012 range of beauty and fragrance products, we were treated to some lovely food and drinks, as well as manicures, massages and even eyebrow threading! The evening was really lovely and I left home with some new blogger friends and a fab goody bag. Today I’m reviewing my favourite product of the goody bag!

It’s the Next Spa Purifying & Exfoliating Sugar Body Scrub, a shimmery golden scrub with geranium, lavender and eucalyptus scents. The smell is very spa-like; quite leafy and herbal, which is not my favourite scent for body products. The product itself looks like a tub of melted gold! It’s so pretty and incredibly tempting to just dip my whole hand in it, and see it come back covered in gold :)

As you spread the scrub on your skin, the golden specks become more obvious. I massaged it on my hand, which gave my skin a gentle exfoliation, I washed the residue away and was left with a super soft hand and a few leftovers of the gold specks. I’m so excited to use this on my legs and see if the scrub will leave a bit more shimmer behind, giving me a much needed golden glow!

Overall, I really really like this scrub; it’s pretty, sparkly and effective! Oh, and it’s quite affordable as well :) I would definitely recommend looking into this one if you generally like a bit of subtle body shimmer!
