For a girl that likes Chanel makeup as much as I do, it was a bit of a shock to realise I didn’t own a single Chanel lipstick. So whilst I was away on holiday, I decided to rectify this mistake and was determined to choose something that would become my new favourite lipstick :)

This is the Chanel Rouge Coco Shine Lipstick in the shade ‘Chance’ (#56). Rouge Coco Shine is a range of hydrating sheer lipsticks that feel light and glide with ease on the lips; the lipstick almost feels like it’s melting on your lips! It has the potential to keep your lips hydrated for 8 hours due to the Hydratender complex, which is, supposedly, the secret behind the softness of the Rouge Coco range.

I chose the shade ‘Chance’, a soft pink shade with a warm coral tint to it. The Rouge Coco Shine range is available in 18 shades, with names such as ‘Rebelle’, ‘Flirt’, ‘Parfait’, ‘Romance’, altogether the shades cleverly tell the story of the legend Coco Chanel at the start of her destiny.

The luxurious Chanel package is something that never disappoints. I admit I reapply this lipstick much more than I need throughout the day, just so I can get it out of my handbag; it’s silly, but it makes me feel quite special. Who knew a mere lipstick would have that power over me? :)

I absolutely love this shade. It only took me 45 minutes (!!) to choose it, so I’m pleased I got it right in the end. ‘Chance’ is just the perfect everyday shade for me; if there’s something I’ve learnt due to my lipstick obsession, is that warm pink shades with a hint of coral suit me a lot better than cool pinks.

Quality-wise, I can’t fault this lipstick. It’s super soft and moisturising and the staying power is pretty good for a lipstick that leaves so much moisture on the lips. Most of my moisturising lipsticks wear off in less than an hour, but Chanel Rouge Coco Shine still looked fantastic after a couple of hours. Because this is a sheer lipstick, it will give you a lovely hint of colour with lots of shine, although I was pleasantly surprised with the pigmentation because it gave me more than just a wash of colour; if you’re looking for something more pigmented, have a look at the Chanel Rouge Coco Lipsticks.

Overall, I would 100% recommend investing in a Chanel lipstick, if you don’t already have one, and if you do, have a look at ‘Chance’ if you want a natural-looking pinky shade for everyday, especially if you have a medium/olive skin tone with warm undertones. I’ve already got so much use out of this lipstick and I’m sure it was worth splashing out!

What do you think of the Chanel Rouge Coco Shine Lipstick in ‘Chance’? Have you have tried it? What’s your favourite Chanel Lipstick? I’d love to know :)
