My Makeup In 2012 (Part 1)
I’ve seen a couple of 2012 outfits compilation posts this week and I thought they were really good fun to read, so I decided to do one myself, but as I’m mainly a beauty blogger, my round up of 2012 is of my makeup looks this year.
2012 was a year of extreme makeup experimentation to me. I stayed faithful to very few products and overall, my skin and nails have looked their best in 2012, which still baffles me, considering the amount and variety of products I put on my face this year; I did, however, develop a semi-strict skincare routine, which probably explains the above mystery!
On the first half of 2012, I fell for far too many hypes, resulting in a fair few disappointing experiences and lots of pleasant surprises. I played around with colour (a lot!), taking advantage of the handful of warm sunny days (sometimes called Summer) to justify wearing the colour blocking trend out of the house. I still struggled with the winged eyeliner look and I had no success on the false eyelashes application front!
So what did I learn in 2012, makeup-wise? Well, I learnt:
- To contour;
- To buy lipsticks that suit my skin tone;
- To successfully fill in my eyebrows;
- To apply mascara without making a mess;
- To do bridal makeup (or at least what I think bridal makeup looks like);
- But overall I learnt to use makeup to enhance my features, not hide them! Cheesy but true :)
So this is part 1 of 2 of My Makeup in 2012, so stay tuned for part 2 tomorrow!

A great idea for a post! I can really see the difference in your brows from the beginning to now. They look amazing and give you a really polished look.
