Makeup Challenge: The 5 Product Face

The 5 Product Face Makeup Challenge

I love makeup challenges, especially the ones that involve looking presentable with the least amount of makeup possible. So I decided to challenge myself to create a wearable daytime look using only 5 products. Now, I’m fully aware that this look will only work on ‘good skin days’, because my base was fairly light, but I may try to create an evening look with only 5 products, so you guys can see that it is possible to go for the ‘less is more’ look sometimes. So here’s the step-by-step:

The 5 Product Face Makeup Challenge

Step 1: For my base I chose the L’Oreal Nude Magique CC Cream Anti-Dullness (review HERE) to even out my skin tone and brighten up my complexion. If I was having a particularly spotty day, I would have gone for something that I can build up the coverage like MAC Face and Body Foundation (review HERE).

Step 2: I chose the Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer in the shade Classic Beige (review HERE), an illuminating concealer to instantly perk up the area under my eyes. This concealer provides medium coverage, which is perfect for a daytime look; it can also be used on blemishes and redness.

Step 3: Next, I used the Liz Earle Healthy Glow Cream Blush in Nectar (review HERE) to add a pop of colour to my cheeks; cream products are quicker to blend and give a more natural finish.

Step 4: To fill in my eyebrows I used the Benefit Brow Zings Eyebrow Kit in Medium Dark (review HERE); lightly filling any gaps in your eyebrows is an important step for a polished and put-together look, without looking like you’re trying too hard.

Step 5: Lastly, I applied my Chanel Glossimer in Bagatelle, which is a peachy-pink lipgloss with a bit of shimmer to it. Et voilà!

I would definitely wear this look for work or uni/school; it looks polished but not over the top, and it feels comfortable and refreshing to have considerably less products than what I would normally have on my face. Now, I challenge YOU to create your very own 5 Product Face; leave a comment below with your links so we can all check it out :)
