New: Barry M Matte Nail Paints & Palettes

New launches excite me! There’s something about the word ‘new’ on the packaging of a product that I can’t resist… even if I already have something very similar, if it’s new, I need to have it; after all, IT’S NEW! (ok, I’m fully aware that doesn’t make any sense to normal non-beauty addicts… sorry!) Back to the point… today I’m here to share with you a couple of launches from Barry M; I haven’t had them for a long time, so instead making you guys wait for a full review, I thought I would give you a brief overview of the products first.

A couple of years ago, the whole matte finish for nails took the beauty community by storm; there wasn’t a single beauty blogger/vlogger (myself included) who didn’t make a little mention to matte nails. I still love the Rimmel top coat (HERE), which can turn any nail varnish into matte finish, but I’m pleased that some brands are now releasing actual matte finish nail varnishes. I love the formulation of this Barry M matte polish; it dries very quickly and it’s completely opaque with 2 coats. The colour I have is ‘Espresso’, a perfect matte black polish, perfect for upcoming Halloween parties! I have my eye on the shades ‘Crush’, a burgundy red colour, and ‘Vanilla’, a beautiful and unique muted grey with lilac undertones.

Barry M Glamour Puss Shadow & Blush Palette*, £6.49 – Superdrug || Boots

I’m in serious need of a new eyeshadow palette; the last palette I bought was the Urban Decay Naked 2, and that was almost 2 years ago! The colours from the ‘Glamour Puss’ palette are a bit random; they are mostly shimmery, varying from light pinks and blues to deeper reds, greys and browns. The quality of the eyeshadows is also mixed; the first 2 shades are very sheer and chalky, whilst the last 4 are quite rich in pigmentation and much less chalky. The blush is a really pretty bright pink shade, but be careful not to be too heavy-handed with it.

So these are the launches from Barry M I wanted to share with you guys! I haven’t had these for a long time, so I don’t know how well they perform overall yet. If they really impress me, rest assured they will feature on a full review here on the blog, or if you want me to review any of them, just let me know and I’ll do it :)
