Klorane Dry Shampoo (Review)
Klorane Dry Shampoo with oat milk*, £7.50 (150ml)
Where to buy: Escentual || John Lewis || Lloyds Pharmacy || Amazon
Unfortunately I wasn’t blessed with naturally straight, easy to manage fabulous hair from birth, so my haircare routine is rather time-consuming and that’s something I have to live with for the rest of my life – thanks, mum and dad! So whenever possible, I always try to extend the time between washes; I can normally go 3 days without washing my hair and it won’t get greasy, but after that it needs a bit of help.
I’ve tried a fair share of dry shampoos, and so far the only one I remotely liked was the original Batiste. What I don’t like about the Batiste dry shampoo is that it makes my hair feel very crispy and dull. The Klorane Dry Shampoo is formulated with oat milk, thus making it suitable for all hair types and even for sensitive scalps. It works, like any other dry shampoo, by absorbing the oils and odours of the hair, which gives back volume to the hair and makes it look freshly clean.
I really do like this dry shampoo, and it’s the only I tried that didn’t make my hair feel crunchy and lifeless. However, it does leave a white cast behind, which is very annoying for us dark-haired ladies. Klorane recommends you wait 2 minutes before brushing out your hair, so that helps the product sink in and ‘disappear’ into a clear powder. In my experience, I found that it doesn’t completely disappear on its own, so I have to run my finger through certain areas to remove any bits of white left behind.
The smell is also more pleasant than other dry shampoos I’ve tried – it’s quite a fresh, clean towels smell. Despite the unfortunate white cast, I like it a lot! My hair looked freshly clean and oil-free for an extra day or so. This is a good find and I can see myself using it up pretty quickly!

The white cast is too bad! I have dark hair so that wouldn’t work well for me. I’ve heard great things about the Dove one though and I hope to give it a try soon.
