Spring Cleaning & Organising My Makeup Collection

Every few months or so I like to refresh my makeup collection – out with the old, in with the new, right? Because of the blog, I’m lucky enough to receive tons of makeup every week so I get to keep writing lots of reviews for you; add that to the shopaholic side of me that can’t resist a 2-for-1 in Boots, and you get a ridiculous amount of makeup! Whenever I tidy up, I give lots of makeup away to my family and friends, but I also like organise everything I decide to keep to make my life easier on a daily basis when I’m getting ready. Today I’m sharing with you my process of Spring cleaning my makeup collection!

I felt like I needed to put some products away for a while and prioritise the things I’ve been enjoying a lot for Spring and Summer. I keep most of my makeup in the Ikea Malm Dressing Table, which I can’t recommend enough if you’re looking for good makeup storage; I’ve done a ‘My Dressing Table’ blog post (here) and a ‘Room Tour’ video (here) showing you my Dressing Room in detail, so follow the links to see those. The table is very spacious and I was able to keep my most used products at the front and my least used ones at the back. I like to put my makeup into cardboard boxes to keep everything compartmentalised and organised!

Because I have too many lip products, I have an overspill for those in acrylic drawers, so organising those will be a whole other video! Thumbs up if you want to see that :)
