REVIEW: YSL Rouge Volupté in Spicy Pink #20
Bonjour, dolls!
If you read my previous blog post, you will know that I’ve recently purchased my first Yves Saint Laurent (YSL) lipstick! So I thought I’d share with you what I think about it after using it for a few days.
The Looks
As I mentioned on my haul post, I was completely sold by the packaging itself. Chic, elegant, sleek – everything about it screams glamour!
The Contents
The shade I picked out is called Spicy Pink (#20). It’s a plum kind of pink shade, which I’ve been very into since the end of the summer, but it’s quite wearable all year round.
Formulation-wise, this is the smoother and most moisturising lipstick I have ever tried, it’s incredibly pigmented and not drying at all on your lips. I don’t feel the need to apply a balm under my lipstick because it doesn’t accentuate any dryness on my lips.
It also has SPF 15 in it and a little mirror on the top of the lid – major plus!
The Photos
I love the colour pay-off this gives and I’m definitely addicted to this lippie! I’ve used it every single day since I bought it and it was absolutely worth the hefty price tag.
The Verdict
Overall Marks: 9/10 – There’s nothing I would change on this lipstick; packaging, formulation, pigmentation – It’s all top notch. However, I am I’m terribly worried that this pricey babe (hence the 9/10) will be the first of many YSL lipsticks to come. Oopsie!
