October Boudoir Privé Box: Contents + Review

On Monday I received my October Glossybox, and today Mr. Postman brought me the October Boudoir Privé box! Can this week get any better? :)

This month’s box has been beautifully packaged, as usual, and now let’s get on with Les Indispensables.

Korres Guava Body Butter

(Bodycare) £12.50

As the name suggests, this is a body butter for dry and chapped skin. The first thing I noticed was the amazing smell! Oh my God, if this was edible, I could seriously eat it. The formulation is creamy and rich, and it makes my skin feel really smooth and moisturised, but what really sold me on this was the very pleasant and sweet smell. I’ll be looking forward to my shower everyday just so I can pop this onto my body and feel pampered!

Studiomakeup Liner Styler Pen Black

(Makeup) £12

This pen eyeliner is supposed to be long lasting and create a crease-proof line. I found the application ok, but the tip is a bit too flimsy, which can cause problems if you are a bit clumsy, like me. The pigmentation is good, and it’s not waterproof, which I quite liked because most of my eyeliners are waterproof, and therefore, they are a nightmare to remove. I did find that some of the eyeliner transferred onto my lid, even though I waited quite a while for it to dry, so that was a tiny bit annoying.

Rose & Co Rose Petal Salve

(Lifestyle) £5

This is pretty much an all-in-one balm! It can be used to soothe chapped lips, as a top coat over lipstick, as an eye gloss, as a brow-tamer, to condition and define lashes, to soften cuticles, to moisturise elbows and knees, and the list goes on. It contains natural beeswax, and it tastes yummy! At first I wasn’t too sure about it because it doesn’t seem to be a luxury product, but it’s definitely multipurpose.

Leonor Greyl Huile de Palme

(Haircare) £24

This is a pre-shampoo conditioner, which I have never even knew it existed until now, that soften and nourishes dry and damaged hair. You’re supposed to apply it before washing your hair to the length and ends, leaving it on for at least 5 minutes (you can even leave it overnight, if you want), and then wash your hair as you would normally do. The product comes out of the bottle in the consistency of a thick scrub, but it quickly melts into an oil, as you can see from the photo above. I haven’t tried this yet, but I’ll let you know if I like it or not; it is certainly interesting! :)

Cetuem Illuminating Mask & Crème de Lite

(Skincare) £25 and £45, respectively

The Illuminating Mask is a grainy cream that you apply once or twice a week on your face, leaving it on for 20-30 minutes and then remove it with a damp cotton wool pad. I’m not too sure what this is supposed to do to my skin, but I’m guessing it will brighten up my complexion or something like that.

The Crème de Lite is a thin cream textured product that you apply on your face and neck, in the morning and at night after cleansing your skin. Again, I’m not too sure what results I’m expecting from this product; whether this is just a normal cream, or a moisturiser, or an anti-ageing cream, I have no idea because it doesn’t say on the product or in the information sheet I got in the box. So, if you’ve ever used this, please let me know what am I supposed to expect from these two products.

Mémo Paris Les Echappées

(Fragrance) £105

This is a new fragrance created by Clara Molloy working with perfumer Alienor Massenet. It’s a very grown up scent, slightly oaky and musty, which I assume it comes from the Patchouli. It’s a scent that really appeals to me, as I prefer something more mature and distinctive, but still quite pleasant and feminine.

BONUS: RMK Exclusive Invitation

Last but not least, the team at Boudoir Privé included this amazing invitation to a complimentary skin consultation and a mini facil at RMK Selfridges, which also includes a goody bag! If I can find the time, I’ll most certainly take advantage of that :)

Overall, I was really happy with my October Boudoir Privé box, and I love the fact I didn’t know any of the brands in the box because it means that I’m getting to know all these new and amazing brands!! If you have anything to say about this box, please share you thoughts below!
