October Glossybox: Contents + Review

Today is a happy Monday and Glossybox is bringing smiles to lots of faces around the country because the October Glossybox is here and it feels like Christmas! :)

This is the 6th box, and to mark their 6 month milestone, the people at Glossybox gifted us with a 6th product in this month’s box, so keep reading to see everything I got in my October Glossybox including the beauty-related gift!

Leighton Denny Expert Nails

(£11 / 12ml)

There’s not much a nail varnish brand can do to stand out from the crowd in terms of packaging, but this one has quite an interesting cap with an acrylic cover connected to the normal cap. Very cute!

The shade I got is called “Babydoll” and I couldn’t think of a more appropriate name for it. It’s a matte baby pink colour, not as creamy as I was expecting, but with two coats you get a decent result. I can’t say it’s my favourite formulation for a nail varnish because it’s so watery, but I like the colour a lot.

Stila Smudge Stick Waterproof Eyeliner

(£13)

This has got to be, by far, the most exciting product of this box. I’ve been lusting over this for a while and it made me smile when I opened the box. Yay :)

It’s a highly pigmented eyeliner, super creamy and it dries quite fast. Best of all, it’s waterproof! The one I got is called “Moray” and it’s a metallic forest green and gold colour, very unique, very shimmery, and definitely very pretty. I probably wouldn’t have bought this one if I was forking out £13 at the shop, but I’m absolutely in love with it now.

Robert Piguet Eau de Parfums

(£65 / 50ml)

The three scents are the signature scents of Robert Piguet, who is said to be the ‘most Parisian of fashion designers’. To be honest, none of them appealed to me, either for being too strong or too bland, but I’m sure it will appeal to other people :)

Dermalogica Age Smart

In the October Glossybox we got, not 1, not 2, not 3, but 4 Dermalogica products, which is awesome, given how expensive they are to buy. But I sort of feel as I though the point of these beauty boxes are to try out different brands, so although the intentions were good, I think I would’ve preferred to get 4 different brands instead!

Dermalogica Age Smart MultiVitamin Thermafoliant

(£40.50 / 75ml)

This is basically an exfoliant for your body. It contains thermal technology which is activated by contact on the skin, enhancing the penetration of ingredients that fight the ageing process of the skin. This product has no scent whatsoever, which is better than having a bad scent, and it left my skin feeling soft and nourished.

Dermalogica Age Smart MultiVitamin Power Recover Masque

(£33 / 70ml)

The second Dermalogica product is a masque that helps the skin recover and regenerate. It contains Vitamins A, C, E and F, and it’s another anti-ageing product. After leaving it for 15 minutes and rinsing it off, I was pleased with the way my skin felt and I was glad this also doesn’t contain artificial fragrances or colours.

Dermalogica Age Smart Renewal Lip Complex – GIFT!

(£22.50 / 1.75ml)

Now onto the gifts. This is actually my favourite of all Dermalogica products I got! It’s a lip balm that conditions and regenerates the lip tissue; it should be applied twice a day for better results. I love how this feels on my lips; incredibly soft, not sticky and scentless!

If wasn’t for the hefty price tag on the incredibly small full size version of this product, I would be running out of the door to buy it now.

Dermalogica Age Smart Beauty Bag – GIFT!

Last but not least, I got the cutest Dermalogica Beauty bag in my October Glossybox. It’s a fairly good size, sturdy and the material looks quite easy to wash. Loved it :)

So that’s all I got in my box! Overall, I was happy with it and I’m still keeping my subscription despite not agreeing with the Dermalogica overdose in the October box. I would love to know what everyone else got in their boxes, so feel free to leave a comment below!
