Christmas Challenge: 30 Lipsticks in 30 Days #12 YSL Glossy Stain Fuchsia Cubiste

For Lipstick #12 I chose the YSL Glossy Stain in #23 Fuchsia Cubiste which is one of the new shades that were released recently. I’ve talked about one of the original Glossy Stains before (HERE) and I was totally blown away by it; so I won’t ramble anymore about it, just read this post and you’ll understand how much I love them!

Fuchsia Cubiste is a deep fuchsia, almost like a cherry-red shade. With one light layer of this glossy stain, you get a super wearable fuchsia/red colour, which looks so yummy and glossy! If you want to vamp it up, apply another layer to your lips and you get that fabulous cherry-red colour, still very glossy and unlike most lip stains, not drying at all on the lips. The applicator can cause a bit of mess, but just apply less product at a time and you should be fine. I had one layer of Fuchsia Cubiste on my lips and it looked rather nice; I think two layers looks nicer on people with fairer skin than me for a Show White-ish sort of look :)

Wow, the finish is just beautiful – love the glossiness despite being so deeply pigmented. I feel glossy reds just look so much more modern and inviting than traditional matte reds (which I do like too, but they have a very different feel)
