Essie Eternal Optimist
If you watch my YouTube videos, you may have seen this bundle of prettiness that is Essie Eternal Optimist on my latest haul video, and even before I tried it, I already knew I would like it. Well, not only do I like it, but I freaking LOVE it! It is the most ‘me’ nail varnish I own and I haven’t worn anything else on my nails since I got it.
The shade is this beautiful warm dusky tea rose shade; it just looks so polished, elegant and feminine – perfect for any occasion and any season, in my opinion. The formulation is pretty good as well; it’s completely opaque with two coats, and when I put my OPI Nail Envy polish as a top coat, it dries quite quickly. It didn’t chip at all for a good 4 days, so that’s always a bonus!
I like wearing Essie ‘Eternal Optimist’ with an accent nail as well, and this time I chose a new nail varnish from Barry M, which is perfect for the upcoming festive season. It’s the Barry M Limited Edition Xmas Nail Paint in Gold, which is a clear polish with tiny little sparkly bits that look like gold tinsel. It reminds me so much of Christmas, because my mum used to decorate our Christmas tree with some gold and white tinsel garlands! I couldn’t find a link to the gold one online, but Boots has it in silver and a multicoloured shade.
Oh, and speaking of Christmas, this weekend saw the debut of the two most anticipated adverts of the festive season: the John Lewis Christmas Advert and the M&S Christmas Advert. It is officially Christmas! :) Which one was your favourite? Mine was the John Lewis one – so sweet and heartwarming!
