My Top 5 Mascaras

Mascara Collection Top 5 Mascaras

After the great response I had with My Top 5 Blushes video, here is the second instalment of my Top 5 series, and today we’re talking mascara! Sadly for you, I’m not a mascara hoarder; mascara has a very short life-span (3 months, generally), and also my favourite mascaras tend to dry out quite quickly. But I do have a fair few and there are certainly 5 of them that stand out from the rest. Can you guess which ones? Press the play button or click here to watch the video!

I love your lashes Ysis! Mine aren’t that long, and they’re very hard to curl, because of their natural way of curling. I really want to try the “They’re Real” mascara, but currently my favourite mascaras are the “Colossal Volum’ Express” (for my top lashes) and the “One by One Volum’ Express” (for my bottom lashes) – both by Maybelline (: x

Awesome, I was looking for such a review and I ended up deciding to buy and try myself, specially that mascarasa don’t last that long, so I get to try many myself, so far I tried Haute and Naugty lash from MAC, I do LOVE tis one but I find it pretty pricey, it did last for 3 or 4 month I think and loved the double usage of the brush. I’m currently using VOLUM’ EXPRESS® THE ROCKET™ WASHABLE MASCARA from Maybelline and it sucks big time! The brush end is weird and it is not easy to use at all. I will buy they’re real mascara and give it a try.

    Thanks!

I always struggle with finding the right mascara because my lashes are short and thing :( I am starting to think I’m the only person on the planet who dislikes the Benefit They’re Real mascara. My fave budget mascara is Maybelline The Rocket Volum’ Express Mascara (blue packaging). Have you tried that one? It seems to have a similar wand to They’re Real but seems to work better for me. I also love the Clinique Bottom Lash as well!

I get the generic brand of latisse which is called careprost. I only use it three days a week and my lashes are very long even though my hair is thinning-I’m older. I’ve actually have trimmed them. I’ve been using it for four years consistently and my hazel/green eyes have never darkened. Your mascara will look fabulous if you find one you like. With longer lashes my mascara isn’t as big of an issue. I do use a Maybelline mascara in a long thin silver tube because it has a small thin brush. It’s perfect for corners and bottom lashes which have also gotten longer. Clinically speaking, latisse and careprost are scientifically proven to work. Many other supposed lash growing brands don’t work and are expensive.

Just found your blog and love it! I swear by Mally mascara… really any make up by Mally! I’m in the US and I can buy it at Ulta beauty, but I also order from QVC (which I think is in the UK as well) because they have great kits at a good price. (I like getting four or five new beauty things to try at once.) I’m like you that I like volumizing mascara, and Mally is great because it really makes my lashes fatter and longer without ever smudging and giving me raccoon eyes!
