I know this is probably old news to some of you, but I finally got my hands on one of these and I thought I’d share my first impressions. Even though it probably doesn’t need any introductions, I’ll do it anyway! It’s the Yves Saint Laurent (YSL) Touche Éclat Radiant Touch, a concealer and highlighter that promises instant light, luminosity and radiance, all in one step.

The product comes in 7 shades, of which I was matched to shade 3 (olive bronzed complexion), and it was a perfect match on my skin. Voted the UK number 1 luxury beauty product in 2010, YSL Touche Eclat has definitely been a cult product to many in the beauty industry.

When put to the test, Touche Eclat didn’t let me down. It has light reflecting pigments to conceal dark circles and brighten up the under eye area at the same time. By clicking the bottom of the dispenser, the lightweight, creamy textured product comes out at the end of the brush. It’s easily blended to give a low to medium coverage and a unique glow to the areas where the product was applied.

As advised on the leaflet that accompanies the product, I applied it on my under-eye area, on the sides of my nose, on the hollow of my chin and around the contours of my mouth. I was very pleased with the incredibly brightening effect it gave to my bare face on the photo above. I found out that Touche Eclat, a hint of lipgloss and a bit of blusher, is the perfect combo to make me look naturally awake and healthy.

I’m really glad I decided to bite bullet and buy it once and for all to see for myself that it was totally worth all the hype. Unfortunately, I’ll have to save it for special occasions, as the little and expensive pen would probably run out in a couple of weeks if I wore this as my everyday concealer and highlighter.

What do you think of the YSL Touche Eclat Radiant Touch Concealer / Highlighter? Is it worth the hype? What are your tips to get the best out of this product? Leave a comment below :)

    This looks fantastic.
Up till now I have used the drugstore dupe for this – The maybelline dream lump.
Have you tried it if so are they comparable.
I love the maybelline one but seeing as this product still gets so so much hype , i might have to splurge on this…

You would be suprised at how long it lasts though- i’ve used mine at least 3 times a week for over a year and a 1/2.
