Yesterday I turned 28 years old, and do you know what I realised? I am dangerously close to being alive for three whole decades! So I freaked out a little bit, but quickly went back to being the usual Mrs. Brightside I normally am. 28 years – no wrinkles, a couple of grey hairs, healthy, married and happy. Not bad at all!

I didn’t have any plans for the daytime, so I decided to get ready and feel fabulous anyway! I opted for a smokey eye look and a red lipstick that I’ve been totally obsessed with lately! It’s probably a bit too much for my everyday self, but if you can’t go OTT on your birthday, when can you?

In the evening I went out for a meal with my darling husband, who spoiled me rotten with a gorgeous Mulberry Bayswater handbag! Thanks, Lili :) I used Honey Pot all over the lid, more focused on the centre to inner half. Cocoa Puff on the outer V of the eyes, Push Up was used to blend and soften the edges on top of Cocoa Puff. Silk Teddy was used to highlight the brow bone and inner corner. I applied a little bit at a time, always going back to Honey Pot and Cocoa Puff when one was washed out by the other.
