RapidLash: Should I or Should I Not?

RapidLash Eyelash Enhancing Serum

RapidLash Eyelash Enhancing Serum*, £41 | Boots

When I was younger, people always used to compliment me on how long and full my eyelashes were, and to be honest, they were pretty amazing. I’m very lucky to still have fairly long and naturally curled lashes, but the fullness is not really there anymore… they’re sparse and I can definitely see lots of gaps on my lashline! I can only blame this on my regular use and removal of mascara over the last 4 years. Even the most gentle makeup removers have taken a lash or two of mine as souvenirs, and suddenly a little becomes quite a lot!

I’d heard of Rapidlash a while back and recently I was offered the chance to try it, so I thought why not. Rapidlash is a treatment in the form of a serum, which helps boost the appearance of eyelashes; it’s meant to be used once a day, and supposedly, results can be visibly seen in as little as 30 days. Sounds promising, right?

The serum is a thin liquid, which comes in a mascara-like tube with a very thin applicator brush. It is deemed safe for contact lens wearers and ophthalmologist & dermatologist tested, but if you have sensitive eyes, I would still recommend contacting your ophthalmologist before using this, just to be sure. You’ll be applying it very close to your eyes, which is an extremely delicate and sensitive area. That’s the last place you want to have any adverse reactions!

From one application, I have nothing worrying to report; everything went smoothly, the serum doesn’t smell, it didn’t cause any discomfort and it didn’t sting my eyes whatsoever. It is recommended to completely clean the eye area, so make sure you remove all your makeup and eye creams before applying Rapidlash. It should be used in the evening before bedtime, which I don’t know if it’s an instruction or just more for your convenience, as you’re less likely to fiddle with your eye area when you’re sleeping!

As I was researching to write this blog post, I came across a few articles online that mentioned the use of RapidLash was linked with some serious issues! Now, I know better than to trust everything I read on the internet, but I couldn’t help but wonder if it’s really worth giving this a try, or if I should just not bother and live happily with thinner lashes. My policy is definitely safety first!

That’s where I need your help! I was prepared to commit to using RapidLash for a period of 30 days, starting from tonight, but I need a little more convincing before I do this. So if you’ve used RapidLash before or know someone who’s used it, could you please put my mind at ease and tell me that no one had any major problems with it? However, if you’ve not had great luck with it, please let me know as well. Thank you in advance :)

Have you heard of RapidLash? What are your thoughts on it?

I’ve used it with very good results! It did take 4 weeks for me to notice a difference, but when I did, I really noticed it. Also people around me started mentioning how amazing my lashes were again (like you, mine have sparsed and thinned a bit) You can take a look at my blog for some pics of my lashes currently – I am 2 weeks into doing it again after taking about 8 months off (purely because I was cheap and stopped buying, learned my lesson though!)

Thank you so much for letting me know! This really helped make my mind up about giving this a try :) I guess the issues were really isolated, so hopefully I’ll be fine as well :) Thanks again and I’ll definitely check out your pics! :) x

No problem! You just have to be patient and use the full tube up. Like I said after 4 weeks I noticed my lashes looking longer, but also more flared out at the outer corners and they were actually curling a bit on their own (normally they point straight down as you’ll see in any if my before and after pics on my blog) after using the full tube (which lasted almost 3 months!!) I definitely knew it was worth repurchase.

I used it for 60 days and sadly it did nothing for my lashes, but I haven’t experienced any problems or side effects. I use Castor Oil now and it works wonders- it thickens, strengthens and conditions lashes and brows, plus it is cheap as chips :)

I used it last May for several weeks. I ended up with severe cornea infections, the doctor thought I might lose my right eye, I have lost vision in both eyes and have permanent damage, I had perfect vision before this and have gone through hell for a year now, my vision has continued to get worse and I am in fear of going blind. The Doctors say they have no idea about blindness because they know nothing about the product and the company doesn’t let us know anything nor do they put a warning of any kind on the box or the insert. I would love to hear any feed back from anyone else in my position from this product, please leave me contact information and to anyone thinking of using Rapidlash, please don’t risk your vision, you can’t get that back!!
