A Little Chat & A Little Haul

A Little Chat and A Little Haul

Well, I think the title of this post says it all, so… let’s chat & let’s haul! :) I realise I haven’t been creating blog posts and videos as much recently and I apologise for that – I had a bit of a rough month, and I talk a little about that on the video below, but I’m glad to be back to my good ol’ happy-go-lucky positive self! Of course, retail-therapy is always helpful, so after a quick trip to town, and against all filming problems and the awkwardness of talking to a camera and wearing makeup after about a month of not doing so, I’m back! I’m warning you this is a long, rambly and rather unstructured video – I hope you don’t mind! :)

So that’s it – my ‘sad’ month is finally over and I’ll try my best to not let perfectionism get the best of me. If you have any tips on how to deal with anxiety, how not to worry too much about everything, how to deal with perfectionism and how not to put too much pressure on yourself, I would love to hear them :)

Let me know if you have any videos in particular you would like to see next and I hope you enjoyed my little random purchases!

    So sorry to
hear you’ve been feeling down Ysis. At times where I’m feeling down I like to write
every single thing down which has been good throughout the day – even the
tiniest thing! This makes it easier to be positive, at least for me (: But don’t think too much about if you’re a perfect blogger or not. You are such a great blogger, and my favourite too, so just enjoy!
Also, I really want to read “The Fault in our Stars”! But I want to read it in English
so I’ll have to order it online.

Hi Sandra, your comments always help me a lot! Thank you for sharing your tips and I’ll definitely do that. Funnily enough, when my mind is troubled or unorganised, I like to write down every little thing that comes to my mind, as I find it easier to get my head straight when I write things down, but I’ve never focused on just writing the positive things, and maybe that will help me too! :)

I’m really glad you enjoy my blog and it means a lot to me to hear that I’m one of your favourite bloggers! :) If you end up getting The Fault in our Stars, don’t forget to share your thoughts :) x

I’m really glad to hear Ysis! Yes you should try writing down
only the positive. In tough times everything can just seem all bad, and writing
down the positive things always makes me realise that ”hey, a lot of nice
        things actually happened today.” :)

Actually, I got it yesterday :D I came
across it during my trip to Copenhagen – only about £11, so I had to get it
and I really like it so far!

Wow, I just bought The Fault in Our Stars and spent a week watching my favourite Rafael Nadal pick up his 14th Grand Slam trophy! :)
Coincidences apart, I have always admired you for being such a happy person. Trust me, it is evident in your videos that you are a nice, positive and genuine person and i think, (I say that at the risk of sounding like a fan-girl) a lot of us not only take back good beauty advice but also smiles and joy from your blogs and videos. For a lot of us, you are the perfect blogger (if there is something like that). You are the reason why we discover new and beautiful things ever so often. What i am (very inarticulately) trying to say is that you need not stress. We like you for the traits that are inherent in you and should you miss a few deadlines, i doubt much of how we feel is going to change.
    Feel better, Ysis. xx

I love coincidences like that! Although I was cheering from Djokovic (my second fave after Federer), but I like Nadal too, and he is the king of clay, after all! :)

Thank you much for your words – you really cheered me up and no, you didn’t come across as a fan-girl! :) It’s lovely to hear you take more than just beauty advice from my blog and YouTube channel and it really does make blogging 10 times better knowing that!

Again thank you much for always commenting and for being so kind :)

      xx

Hi Ysis! I go through down moods too sometimes. For me, nice summer weather always cheers me up, so I hope that the sunshine in the next few months brightens your mood too! I just came across your blog recently and love that someone else likes beauty and shopping as much as me. It’s interesting though that a lot of beauty brands that are popular in the US are maybe not as popular in the UK. I haven’t seen you mention Bare Minerals, Mally, Laura Mercier, Laura Geller, or Sonia Kashuk which are all pretty big over here. I would love to see some product reviews for some of my fave brands!

PS. I love Sophie Kinsella too. I’m assuming that you’ve read Confessions of a Shopaholic, but her other book Undomestic Goddess is also laugh out loud funny!

I stumbled upon your blog because I was looking for some make up reviews and I’m glad I found your blog :) I ended up reading and watching your videos :) Love your blog and your accent ;)

Also, I know how you’re feeling because I also have down months and I hate it but I make sure to get back up :) Glad you’re feeling better now :)
