Custom Pink Lipstick for Medium Skin Tones
It’s no secret that my favourite shade of lipstick is pink, in all its infinite variations! Luckily for me, my medium skin tone ‘allows’ me to comfortably wear most shades of pink, except the dreaded blue-undertoned pink shades, such as Mac Snob Lipstick. Most recently I’ve been enjoying mixing different shades of pink to create a custom pink blend that has suited my paler winter skin tone and extremely dry lips very well.
The combination I have worn most often this winter consisted of the Rimmel Exaggerate Lip Liner in Eastend Snob, the Soap & Glory Super Colour Fabulipstick in Super Nude and the Soap & Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Gloss Stick in Bashful. I think these three together form a very flattering pink lipstick for medium skin tones – it’s warm enough, brightening & versatile!
I start by lining my lips and filling them in with the Rimmel Lip Liner in Eastend Snob, which has an unusual lilac undertone to it and I quite like paired with other lip colours, but not on its own. It is also a bit drying on the lips, but the application is velvety smooth and it adds longevity to my lipstick.
Next, I apply the Soap & Glory Lipstick in Super Nude, which adds a hint of spicy nude, instantly warming up my complexion. It also helps smooth the surface of my lips by adding some moisture into the mix.
Finally, I finish off with the Soap & Glory Gloss Stick in Bashful, concentrating it mostly on the centre of my lips to add some dimension and make the flakiest area of my lips look less obvious. Even though ‘Bashful’ is quite a bright coral-pink, the gloss formula makes it rather sheer and it only ever so slightly changes the finished lip combo by brightening the lips.
I have used these three lip products together so much this winter and I highly rate all of them, especially for medium skin tones. They are all available on the High Street/Drugstore, which is always a bonus, although Soap & Glory prices aren’t quite as affordable as other drugstore brands.
What do you think of my custom blend of pink lipsticks for Winter? What’s been your favourite lipstick this Winter?

This combo looks gorgeous on you! I can’t wear the blue toned pinks either, I only just about get away with a mauve-y pink. I love the S&G matte lipstick in the shade ‘blush pink’, its a really pretty soft pink. :)

I have 2 out of 3 of these, so will pair them and see what happens! My skin is a bit darker than yours and I struggle with pinks so much! MAC Mehr lipstick is a favourite of mine although it’s very cool toned it looks surprisingly good on warmer complexions – check it out!

These sound amazing and look so pretty together. I need to try something like this too. I’m also in love with any pink lipstick and have so many of the same shades but I love them.
